Tommy Skipper and the first big event of the year

Posted to The Oregonian by Doug Binder January 04, 2008

The first big track event of the year is Friday and Saturday in Reno at the annual Pole Vault Summit, the one place and the one time when pole vaulters are treated as rock stars.

And speaking of pole-vaulting rock stars, Tommy Skipper has a new website, apparently.
It's www.tommyskipper.com and it appears to be run by the former NCAA champion himself.

And the site includes this address for anyone intersted in contributing to Tommy Skipper's effort to make the 2008 Olympic team, which we are happy to pass along:

Tommy Skipper Olympic Training Fund
c/o Wells Fargo Bank
Eugene, OR 97401

Skipper did not show up in the elite men's division results from Reno, an event he normally competes in.
